I met this woman in my dreams.
She came and found me after a couple of years.
With a smile and drink –
We made love under the warm rainy skies.

She is the woman who swims in my life.
We made children who leave us distinctively surprised.
She’s trouble – living in a bubble – but that’s fine in my mind.

My wife lives in a disguise.
I don’t know her but I tell her I’m fine.
She never reads my books.
She never listens to my stories.
She hasn’t got time for my plans.
But she smiles and dances while we hold hands.

I met this woman who married this man.
I know they imagine life without the singer of this band.
They now live in a little house
And plant flowers where they can.
I hope someday you will pop round
And see all their creative plans.

We both watch the time spin round, where clouds of storms – make rains come down.
She swims in my life.
I talk a good show
But she too busy on this road.

My wife lives in a disguise.
I don’t know her but I tell her I’m fine.
She never reads my books.
She never listens to my stories.
She hasn’t got time for my plans.
But she smiles and dances while we hold hands.
